Yes, you may have up to four beneficiaries on your account. You will need your POD’s name, Social Security Number (SSN), Date of Birth (DOB), and Address.
If you apply for an account online, you will have access to your own ConnectOne Bank application portal. In this portal, you can request to add any beneficiaries to your account.
Please contact us if you need assistance.
Note, PODs are currently not available for business accounts.
You can set up an alert in your online banking to remind you when you're CD maturity is coming due.
If you opted to receive your account notices online, your maturity notice will be sent securely to your online banking. Otherwise, you will receive a maturity notice by mail prior to the maturity date of your CD.
If you choose to close the CD, you can contact us at 844-266-2548, support@cnob.com, send us a message in your online banking, or visit your local banking office for assistance.
If you don’t notify the bank that you’d like to close the CD, your account will automatically renew after 10 calendar days for the term indicated in your CD disclosure at the prevailing rate. More information can be found in the Time Deposit Truth-In-Savings disclosure.
ConnectOne Bank opens CDs as Time Deposits. The name of the product in all account related notices, including but not limited to, tax forms and statements, will be Time Deposits. You will not receive a certificate upon opening the account.
Personal Accounts

When you're opening your account online:
You can fund your new ConnectOne Bank account through a couple of different options.
- ACH transfer from your account at another bank. We just need your account and routing number from that financial institution.
- If you are an existing ConnectOne Bank client, you can transfer funds from one of your other ConnectOne accounts.
- Login with your other financial institutions' credentials with Plaid funding
To close your account, please contact us at 844-266-2548, reach out to your local banker or visit a local banking office.
Yes! You can apply for a joint account online. Click here to see the products we have available online.
Complete the application as you normally would. Once your application has been approved, you may add your secondary account holder directly from the online portal, and they will receive an email prompting them to fill out their information.
Once your account is open, you can make deposits by:
- Set up direct deposit with your employer
- Using the Remote Check Deposit feature in our ConnectOne Bank mobile app
- Transferring funds from an existing ConnectOne Bank account (if applicable)
- Transfer funds from an account you have at another financial institution using our External Transfer service
- Visit a ConnectOne Bank location and deposit checks or cash into the account
Debit Cards

Simply call the phone number listed on your card mailer, 844-909-1621, to activate your new Visa® debit card and set your Personal Identification Number (PIN).
Please note, when calling to activate your card, have your primary account number available. If the phone number you are calling from is not recognized by our system, you may be asking to provide your primary account number.
You can change your PIN at anytime by:
- Calling 844-909-1621
- Visiting any ConnectOne Bank ATM

Business Accounts
You can apply for a Small Business Checking or Business Impact Money Market account online.
To open your business account online, you will need to provide information on anyone with 25% or greater ownership in your business. and list a Control Prong which is a single individual with significant responsibility to control, manage, or direct company financial decisions.
For each beneficial owner, you will need the following information:
- Full name
- Primary address
- Date of birth
- Social Security Number
- A valid U.S. State ID, Passport, Permanent Resident Card or Driver's License along with the ID number, issue date and expiration date
Gift Cards
Your card can be used for purchases anywhere Visa® is accepted.
To use your gift card for online purchases, register your card online with your name and address. When completing your online purchase, your billing address should match the address you’ve registered.
If the purchase amount is greater than the balance of the funds available on your card, ask the merchant to only charge the exact amount available on the card and then pay the remaining purchase amount balance using another payment method. If you do not inform the merchant prior to completing the transaction, your gift card may be declined.
Need to return an item purchased on your card?
No problem. Depending on the merchant, the refund may be credited to your card or issued as a store credit or cash. You may need to present your card and receipt with the return. There may also be a 3-5 day delay for the refund to post to your card.
If your attempted purchase is denied, your available balance might be less than the purchase price. Ask the merchant to deduct the amount remaining on your card and then use a second form of payment for the purchase balance.
If the purchase price of an item is greater than your card's value, you can use a second payment method (debit card, credit card, check or cash) to cover the difference. Simply tell the cashier how much to deduct from your card and how much you’ll pay with the second method. Some merchants may not accept these "split transactions". If you fail to inform the merchant prior to completing the transaction, your gift card is likely to be declined.
If you believe your gift card is lost or stolen, please contact us immediately at 844-909-1634. Contacting us by phone is the best way to minimize your potential losses. The gift card may be replaced with certain restrictions, you must provide the card number and you must have registered as the recipient.
While we no longer support the MasterCard gift cards program, here's some helpful information if you still have yours.
- If you want to make an online purchase, register your card online with your name and address.
- When completing your purchase, your billing address should match the address you’ve registered. ConnectOne Bank MasterCard Gift cards are not accepted at service stations.
- You can check your balance on your card online or call the number on the back of your card.
- If your MasterCard gift card has expired, please contact us at 844-266-2548.
You can return items purchased with your gift card. Some merchants will credit the refund to your card. Others will give you store credit or cash. Bring your card and receipt when you make the return. You may experience a 3-5 day delay in returned funds while the return is posted to your account.
Loans
- Loan request amount and detailed allocation of funds
- Year-to-date profit and loss (P&L) statement and balance sheet
- Projected financials (one to three years)
- Business tax returns (last two years)
- Personal tax returns (last two years)
- Personal financial statement
- Owner resumes
- If you are a startup with previous business experience
- If you are a for-profit business (with time in business above 2 years)
- If the business owner's personal credit score is good
- The business must be U.S. based and owned by U.S. citizen or Lawful
- Permanent resident who is at least 21 years old
- If there are no outstanding tax liens
- No bankruptcies or foreclosures in the past 3 years
- No recent charge-offs or settlements
- Current on government-related loans
First, the bank reviews the application. If approved by the bank, the application is submitted for SBA approval. From application submission to disbursement of funds, it can take approximately 30-90 days depending on the complexity of the loan.
The benefits of an SBA-guaranteed loan are:
- SBA loans can have great advantages over conventional loans, including longer repayment terms which means lower monthly payments and lower down payments which makes upfront costs more affordable.
- Minimum down payment for real estate is 10% and all other loans are 20%.
Online Banking
No. ConnectOne Bank online banking is FREE for all of our clients!
All you need is a computer and internet access. Navigate to our homepage and enter your User ID and password into the login box in the top right hand corner of the page.
Online banking is an online platform, which allows you to bank from any computer, as long as you have Internet access. You can check account balances, review transactions on your accounts, transfer funds between authorized accounts, stop payment on checks, reorder checks, pay bills, receive direct deposits, enroll in eStatements, and set up external transfers.
External ACH fund transfers initiated through ConnectOne Bank's online banking platform are limited to $3,000.00 per transaction and per day. Transfers to or from your ConnectOne Bank account initiated by another financial institution are subject to their transfer limits.

Sign in to your online banking:
- Navigate to 'Make an External Transfer' under the 'Pay and Transfer' tab
- Click on 'Add an External Transfer Account'
- Enter your bank's routing and account numbers
- Click 'Continue'
You will receive a confirmation email. In order to verify your account at the other bank, we will send test deposit and withdrawal transactions within 2 to 3 business days. Each transaction is less than one dollar.
Once you see these transactions in your other bank account, note the two test deposit amounts with a description of 'TEST TRAN' and sign in to your ConnectOne Bank online banking.
- Navigate to 'Make an External Transfer' under the 'Pay and Transfer' tab
- Select 'Verify' for the account you are linking
- Enter the two test deposit transaction amounts and
- Click 'Submit'

Mobile Banking & Deposits
Deposits may be made with Mobile RDC at any time. If your deposit is approved before 5PM ET on a business day, your deposit will post to your account on the next business day. You will receive a notification by email when your deposit has been received. You may view your deposit in your transaction history in Mobile Banking.
Funds availability may be limited under certain conditions. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for more information.
You may only take a picture of one check per deposit; however you may take a picture of multiple checks in the same mobile banking session.
If a deposit is returned, please do not re-deposit the check with the Mobile Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) functionality. You will receive a declined deposit notification for the second deposit received through the Mobile RDC service.
No, keep the check until it posts to your statement. Afterwards, you may securely destroy the check. Do not VOID the check after submittal in the event the deposit is not approved and needs to be re-submitted.
